Frequently asked questions

If you have a question which has not been answered below, please contact the thinkproperty.com helpline on 0845 073 0060 or email info@thinkproperty.com.

  1. Why is my e-mail address not registered?

It is likely you are attempting to log into http://www.thinkproperty.com rather than http://agents.thinkproperty.com. These are two different sites so separate email addresses and passwords can be registered. Please ensure you are using the correct details.

  2. How do I register with the site?

To benefit from the added visibility and the latest functionality available from advertising your properties on thinkproperty.com simply call us on 0845 073 0060, email info@thinkproperty.com or complete the agents enquiry form.

  3. Why doesn't my password work?

If it is a new password we suggest copying and pasting the password from the e-mail instead of trying to retype it. If this still does not work use the forgotton password link to automatically create a new one.

  4. What do I do if I have lost/forgotten my password?

Your password was sent to you in an email from info@thinkproperty.com. If you have deleted this email use the forgotton password link to automatically create a new one.

  5. Why is my property not appearing on the site?

A property has to be coded onto a map to appear on thinkproperty.com. Check the list of all your properties and look at the 'STATUS'. It will only appear on thinkproperty.com if it is 'ONLINE'.

  6. What types of property can be uploaded to thinkproperty.com?

Currently only UK sales & lettings properties can be uploaded. Overseas properties will be added later.

  7. How is thinkproperty.com being administered and supported?

There is a team dedicated to supporting and developing thinkproperty.com. If you have any technical queries relating to the site you can contact the team on info@thinkproperty.com or by telephoning 0845 073 0060.

  8. The quality of some agents' logos is poor on thinkproperty.com. Can this be improved?

If your logo needs to be improved, a new logo should be emailed to logos@thinkproperty.com.

  9. I have seen a property location listed in the wrong county. Why is this?

The postcode data we use is obtained from the Post Office. We have refined it where possible and will continue to do so when we come across further anomalies.

  10. Why do properties from other areas appear sometimes when I search on a particular location?

The search is based on a grid system. This has been refined, but we will continue to refine where we come across any anomalies. If you search by postcode it will only bring up properties in that postcode.

  11. Why can't I see any statistics?

If you are unable to view statistics, you probably don't have any properties uploaded on thinkproperty.com for the category you are viewing (Sales or Rentals).

  12. What is a click-through rate?

The click-through rate for a property is the percentage of detail sheet views as compared to summary views for a property. For example, a click-through rate of 7% would mean that 7% of visitors who viewed a property summary in their search results 'clicked-through' to view the property's detail sheet.

  13. Why are the statistics so low for some of my properties?

There are a number of reasons that can explain low numbers of property viewings and click-through rates on thinkproperty.com. Properties with a single image, no images or a small amount of descriptive text are less likely to be viewed by visitors to thinkproperty.com, so try to ensure you upload your properties with the maximum amount of information. Additionally, properties that have only just been uploaded to the site will also have low viewing and click-through statistics.
